POST PRODUCTION - VISION EPIC is equipped with some 60 seats of digital editing: fifty two of these – Final Cut Studio - are in two large workshops for the teaching of editing and audio post-production. There are also four fully featured Final Cut Studio Editing Suites – with HD monitoring, hardware audio mixing, and signal monitoring, which are available for commercial and broadcast production use. These suites are on a fibre infrastructure, connected to our 63 terra byte Storage Area Network. As the studios can record directly to this network, productions taking place in any of the three EPIC studios are instantly available for post in these suites. EDIT 1 is equipped with 5.1 surround sound monitoring and is configured for online HD editing. Other suites are similarly equipped, but with stereo audio monitoring. All suites have access to Digi-Beta, HD Cam, DVC Pro and HDV (1080i and 720p) VTRs. All edit suites are individually air-conditioned. The choices are all yours... Back to What's here? |

POST PRODUCTION - AUDIO A new audio dubbing theatre at EPIC is equipped with the Tascam DM-4800 mixing desk - the identical model to the desk used in both the discussion and virtual studios. The dubbing theatre is equipped with Dolby 5.1 monitoring and is networked to studios via the 63 Terrabyte server system. There are two voice-over booths adjacent to the theatre, allowing recording of voice-over against picture. Studio E's audio gallery (pictured) is also available for post-production. EPIC's facilities lend themselves to broadcast TV, radio or IPTV production, programmes and commercials. With all the facilities of a major network production centre, and sophisticated routing and comms, production and post-production galleries and sound galleries are interlinked and interchangeable: resources are always available. The choices are all yours... Back to What's here? |
